Oschersleben – Mirko Bortolotti on C2 pole

The Italian driver gives Lamborghini its first pole position of the 2024 DTM season. After his good result the day before (second in C1), he positions himself as one of the serious candidates this season. He is ahead of Luca Stoltz and Jack Aitken, the winner of the day before. Thomas Preining will start 18th.

Oschersleben – Mirko Bortolotti on C2 pole

As in the qualifying session the day before, 19 of the 20 entrants held within less than a second. The pilots Porsche seem to be paying a heavy price following the title of Thomas Preining (Manthey EMA) in 2023. The Austrian and his teammate the Turk Ayhancan Güven ranked in 18th and 17th positions, just over 8 tenths behind Bortolotti. They are preceded by BMW drivers Sheldon van der Linde (14th) and René Rast (16th), both Schubert Motorsport drivers. In the other half of the ranking, Ricardo Feller 7th (Abt Sportsline) is ahead of Nicki Thiim (SSR performance) who will try to score his first points in 2024.

Race 2 is scheduled for 13:30 p.m.
