The leaders of the Nascar have decided to reorganize the distribution of points for the three major categories of the discipline. Thus, the first in a race will collect 43 points, the second 42, the third 41 and each subsequent place will earn one month point. Winning the race will be rewarded with a bonus of three points; the fact of having led at least one lap will provide a point; the driver who has led the most laps will earn an additional point. Thus, the winner will be able to collect a maximum of 48 points, a minimum of 47; the second maximum 44, minimum 42. After Jimmie Johnson?s five championship titles, this tightening of values should allow an increase in the number of candidates in the title race.
