At the end of the 4 special stages contested during the first day of the Grand National, Eric Brunson (Subaru Impreza WRC S12B) occupies the head of the provisional ranking. He is ahead of Gilles Nantet (Porsche 996 GT3 Cup) of 2'36″4 and Cédric Robert (Citroën DS3 R3) of 3'12″5.
Leader of the French championship, Brunson signed the 4 scratches of the day.
