Kevin Harvick won the Aaron's 499 on the Talladega super oval after 200 laps of the race this Sunday. The driver of the No. 29 Richard Childress Racing Chevrolet managed to gain an advantage over Jamie McMurray in the final straight, ahead of him by a handful of centimeters.

After his victory at Talladega last November and his success at the Daytona 500 at the start of the season, Jamie McMurray came very close to a third victory in less than six months on a super oval. But it was ultimately Kevin Harvick, consistent since the start of the season, who snatched his first victory of the year.

Juan Pablo Montoya, after a difficult start to the season, climbed to the third step of the podium, ahead of Denny Hamlin, author of two victories this season.
