The 2021 season, which begins next week in Dubai, promises us a great show.

36 cars expected in Asian Le Mans Series

The change of calendar and the temporary relocation of the series to the Persian Gulf will give this 2021 season a unique character... reinforced by an extremely extensive entry list. In fact, no less than 36 cars are expected, namely seven LM P2s, 10 LM P3s and 19 GTs.

A contingent of quality entrants, and high-ranking crews with, in LM P2, six Oreca 07s – including the Aurus 01s – and a Ligier JS P217. Note the expected debut in the discipline of Phoenix Racing, while Jota will start favorite with his trio Stoffel Vandoorne-Sean Gelael-Tom Blomqvist.

Absent in the premier category, United Autosports will field three Ligiers in LM P3. Note that Manuel Maldonado's teammates on the No. 23 have not yet been revealed. Facing them, five other JS P320s (including the No. 33 of CD Sport led in particular by Adam Eteki), a Duqueine D08 for DKR Engineering and a Ginetta G61-LT-P315 Evo for ARC Bratislava.

Finally, in GT, note the presence of Julien Andlauer and Alain Ferté on the Porsche 911 GT3 R n°40 of GPX Racing, that of Côme Ledogar on the Ferrari 488 GT3 n°57 of Kessel Racing or that of Valentin Hasse-Clot on theAston Martin Vantage AMR GT3 n°88 from Garage 59.

Hostilities begin on February 13 in Dubai.
