If this weekend wasn't crazy enough for the last meeting of the ALMS season, the rain came to the Yas Marina circuit! A light shower, but rare enough to be noted in Abu Dhabi. As night fell in the Emirates, it was still the #07 Oreca 25 from the Algarve Pro Racing team which was in the lead.

The Portuguese team benefited from the race interruption – with a driver change made just before the red flag was displayed – to move into the lead and take a large lead over the rest of the LM P2 field, where all the teams still had to change their drivers. APR leads with a good minute ahead of the #3 DKR Engineering and the #22 Proton Competition, which got the better of the #30 Duqueine driven by Carl Bennett.

The two main protagonists for the LM P2 title, namely Crowdstrike Racing by APR and 99 Racing, are stuck in traffic, in 5th and 11th places respectively. The title is therefore getting closer for the No. 4 driven by the Kurtz – Braun – Jakobsen trio!

In LM P3, victory is getting closer for the No. 23 Bretton Racing, which is one lap ahead of its closest pursuer, the No. 2 CD Sport. In the GT category, the #19 Lamborghini from the Leipert Motorsport team leads the way ahead of the #82 AF Corse. As things currently stand, the PureRxcing team – currently 5th – would be titled in the category.
