Carlin robbed of his victory in Shanghai, G-Drive Racing victorious

Carlin's first success in LM P2 did not last long. A few hours after the arrival of the 4 Hours of Shanghai, opening of the Asian Le Mans Series 2019-2020, the trio Jack Manchester – Harry Tincknell – Ben Barnicoat was stripped of their victory acquired on track in the last lap, for an infringement of a driver's driving time.

Ben Barnicoat, Gold driver of the crew, exceeded his maximum time allowed behind the wheel by 6'36", thus causing a sanction of three rounds. The appeal remains possible for the training of Trevor Carlin.

First place therefore goes to the Aurus 01 – G-Drive Racing of Roman Rusinov – Leonard Hoogenboom – James French. The Ligier JS P217 – Eurasia Motorsport of pole sitter Roberto Merhi, assisted in China by Aidan Read and Nick Foster, moved up to second place when the podium was completed by the Carlin crew.
