G-Drive doubles down in Dubai

In pure performance, only one car seems able to compete with the Aurus 01 n°26: the Oreca 07 n°28. But to achieve this, Sean Gelael will have to quickly calm his enthusiasm. After colliding yesterday with the No. 07 Oreca 5 of Phoenix Racing seven minutes after the start, the Indonesian clashed today with the No. 320 Ligier JS P4 of… Phoenix Racing, after only an hour of racing.

If the duo he forms with Stoffel Vandoorne managed to limit the damage yesterday with a second place, today they had to settle for an unconvincing 6th place in the final.

A godsend for Yifei Ye-Ferdinand Habsburg-Rene Binder, who won a second victory in two days despite a drive-through for abuse of track limits (Habsburg). G-Drive Racing even scored a double thanks to the No. 25 of John Falb-Franco Colapinto-Rui Pinto de Andrade.

On the third step, like yesterday, we find Nicki Thiim, Matthias Kaiser and Simon Trummer, who defend the interests of Phoenix Racing.

In LM P3, the No. 08 Duqueine D63 fielded by DKR Engineering for Laurents Hörr and Jean Glorieux gave the No. 320 United Autosports Ligier JS P23 a hard time. But like yesterday, the Wayne Boyd-Rory Penttinen-Manuel Maldonado trio won. The British team even places a second JS P320 on the third step of the podium, namely the No. 2 of John Loggie-Andy Meyrick-Robert Wheldon.

Finally, not finished yesterday after losing the victory four minutes from the finish, the GPX Racing team took its revenge. There Porsche 911 GT3 R n°40 of Julien Andlauer-Alain Ferté-Axcil Jeffries once again dominated his field and precedes the checkered flag Ferrari 488 GT3 n°55 of Davide Rigon-David Perel-Rino Mastronardi (Rinaldi Racing) and theAston Martin Vantage GT3 n°88 by Maxime Martin-Valentin Hasse Clot-Alexander West.

We now head to Abu Dhabi for the 3rd and 4th rounds of the campaign, scheduled for Friday and Saturday respectively.
