Jota dominates G-Drive, GPX ahead of Herberth in GT

Victorious during the two rounds in Dubai last week, the No. 01 Aurus 26 of G-Drive Racing lost for the first time this season this Friday.

On the Yas Marina track in Abu Dhabi, the No. 26 was content with second place in the first race of the weekend. On the finish line, she was beaten by the No. 07 Oreca 28 of Jota Sport.

Starting from fifth position on the grid this Friday, the No. 28 (Sean Gelael-Tom Blomqvist) had a very good race to outclass the two G-Drive Racing cars as well as the No. 07 Oreca 5 (Phoenix Racing) and No. 64 (Racing Team India).

At the finish, it won with a lap lead over the No. 26 and the other G-Drive Racing car driven by Franco Colapinto.

In LMP3, Nielsen Racing achieved a nice double with victory in the category for the No. 320 Ligier JS P9 ahead of its sister, the No. 8. In the end, they were ahead of the No. 3 from United Autosports, which finished more than 50 seconds from the lead.

The No. 40 crossed the finish line with almost 23 seconds behind the Herberth Motorsport 911 GT3 RN No. 99. There Ferrari 488 GT3 No. 60 from Formula Racing completed the podium in the GT category.

See you this Saturday at 13:10 p.m. for the final start of the season and a new 4-hour race to follow on AUTOhebdo.
