The 2019-2020 Asian Le Mans Series calendar revealed

On the sidelines of the final of the 2018-2019 season, this weekend in Sepang (Malaysia), theAsian Le Mans TV Shows has revealed the menu for the 2019-2020 campaign, with some new features on the program.

The competitors will face off again over four four-hour races, with the Shanghai International Circuit (China) having the honor of opening the proceedings, during a joint meeting with the China Touring Car Championship.

As recently announced, the Asian LMS caravan will then head to the Australian and the new circuit The Bend, 100 km south of Adelaide. The ACO-labeled series will on this occasion be the first to travel to these locations, also visited by Supercars a few months later.

While it serves as the final this year, Sepang will now be the scene of the third race...which will end at night after taking place at sunset. Finally, the titles are scheduled to be played on February 23 at the Buriram International Circuit in Thailand.

Like this year, four invitations to the 24 2020 Hours of Le Mans will be awarded respectively to the LM P2, LM P2 Am Trophy, LM P3 and GT champions.

On the regulations side, the only change to note comes from the acceptance in the premier category of the latest generation LM P2s such as the Oreca 07, the Ligier JS P217 and the Dallara P217. Their ancestors will still be admitted, but only in LM P2 Am.

2019-2020 Calendar:

November 22-24, 2019: Shanghai International Circuit (China)

January 10-12, 2020: The Bend (Australia)

February 14-15, 2020: Sepang International Circuit (Malaysia)

February 21-23, 2020: Buriram Chang International Circuit (Thailand)
