Title for United Autosports, victory for Algarve Pro Racing at Sepang

The stakes were double this Sunday in Malaysia on the Sepang track, scene of the Asian final Le Mans Series 2018-2019. Firstly, the allocation of titles in the different categories LM P2, LM P2 Am, LM P3 and GT.

In this game, and despite the victory of the team's Ligier JS P2 Algarve ProRacing entrusted to Andrea Pizzitola, Harrison Newey and Ate de Jong, the crown goes to United Autosports and the duo Paul Di Resta – Phil Hanson, favorites before the kick-off of this final confrontation.

The tandem of Zak Brown's team finished on the same lap as the winning Ligier and thus offers an automatic invitation to LM P2 training for the next 24 Hours of Le Mans (June 15-16).

The podium of the event is completed by the Ligier JS P2 – Panis-Barthez Compétition of Heriau – Lahaye – Lahaye, which precedes the Ligier JS P2 – ARC Bratislava of Miro Konôpka – Darren Burke – Kang Ling, winner in LM P2 Am and who also won an invitation for the double clock tower in Sarthe.

In LM P3, Inter Europol Competition achieves a double blow with victory for Jakub Smiechowski and Martin Hippe, and a place on the LM P2 grid at Le Mans. Note the 8th place in the category of the 100% female crew Margot Laffite – Katherine Legge – Michelle Gatting on the Ligier JS P3 – R24.

Identical scenario for CarGuy training in GT, since the Ferrari 488 GT3 James Calado, Takeshi Kimura and Kei Cozzolino triumph in Malaysia and snatch the crown and ticket to Le Mans.
