Roman Rusinov: “There is no better training than running”

Why did you choose to participate in the Asian LMS?

This year we changed teams, moving to Algarve Pro Racing (previously against TDS. Editor’s note). We use this competition to get to know each other and prepare for the season. ELMS to come as well as 24 Hours of Le Mans. While testing helps, there's no better workout than running.

So, how do you judge this first weekend of competition?

The team worked really well. There are a few things to fix, but we know what we need to work on. But to sign two victories in two races is a very good thing. Certainly, the mistakes made by our opponents made our task easier, but the positive point is that the car is extremely competitive.

The aim was also to test pilots…

Exactly. Doing it in a race allows us to judge their skills in traffic. In LM P2, the choice of Silver is essential, its impact on the result is preponderant and we have already let a title slip away due to errors made by our Silver. We must therefore choose it carefully.

Do you know, then, who will accompany you this year?

Not yet, everyone rode well. Every time Yifei (Ye. Editor's note) took the wheel, he had a comfortable lead and just had to manage without making any mistakes. He drove extremely intelligently. Franco (Colapinto. Editor's note) had to attack, which is why his averages are perhaps better. We could also have achieved the double on Saturday, but the No. 25 suffered an oil leak, and Rui (Pinto de Andrade. Editor's note) and Franco (Colapinto. Editor's note) were involved in collisions.

In charge of promotion formulas (F2, F3, FRECA, F4...). Carried by the grace of Franco Colapinto.
