An expanding grid for the 2019-20 Asian LMS season

The Asian Le Mans Series (Asian LMS) is alive and well. For the 2019-20 campaign, no less than 26 cars will be entered for the entire season, with a predominance of prototypes (17) against nine GT3s. This is three crews more than the previous season.

For the opening planned in Shanghai (China, November 22-24), the new LM P2s will be there. There will be seven of them, with four manufacturers represented: Oreca, Ligier, Dallara and an Aurus 01 for G-Drive Racing in collaboration with Algarve Pro Racing.

A French team is registered. It is Graff in the LM P3 class with a Norma M30 for Éric Trouillet, Sébastien Page and David Droux, regulars in the Ultimate Cup Series. Inter Europol Competition leaves for another round and defends its coronation.

On the GT3 side, the advantage goes to the Ferrari 488 (4 examples), three of which will be driven by official representatives of the Italian brand: Davide Rigon (at HubAuto Corsa), Alessandro Pier Guidi (with Spirit of Race) and Antonio Fuoco (Car Guy, supporters of the title).

The season will take place on four circuits. Besides Shanghai, the Asian LMS will go to the recent track of Tailem Bend (Australia), to Sepang (Malaysia) before holding a final in Buriram (Thailand)
