Yves Giraud Cabantous

Born October 08, 1903 in Saint-Gaudens (Haute-Garonne)

Died on March 31, 1973 in Paris

Beginning in 1925 on Salmson 1100 cm3, this former aviator who became a mechanic on factory Salmsons began by distinguishing himself in hill climbs and Endurance. With a car designed by him, the Caban, he won the Bol d'Or at Saint-Germain-en-Laye (Yvelines) and competed in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. But it was at the wheel of a Delahaye that he ranked 2e of the test in 1938. We also see it on Bugatti and Chenar
