There wasn't much suspense for qualifying for the 4 Hours of Dubai. Alone in the world during private tests andhe two Free Practice sessions, the British team Nielsen Racing took pole positions in both races of the weekend. Ben Hanley propelled the Oreca 07-Gibson to the top of the standings in the first qualifying session in 1:45.248, 0.861 seconds ahead of David Droux for Graff Racing. High Class Racing and ARC Bratislava were relegated by more than four and five seconds respectively. The order was almost the same in second qualifying, with Neale Muston just managing to get the better of Dennis Andersen in the duel for third place between ARC Bratislava and High Class Racing.

The British dominate in GT

The uncertainty mainly concerned the GT category. During the first qualifying session, Ben Barnicoat seemed to have quickly made everyone agree with a time of 1:55.217, over which his opponents were struggling. Vincent Abril managed to set the same time in the final moments on the Ferrari 488 GT3 n°17 from AF Corse, but pole position remained in the camp of the Briton and Inception Racing. Kessel Racing, the first Pro-Am team in this class, completed the podium with Axcil Jefferies, just 0.016 seconds behind!
