At 41 years old, Ahmad Al Harthy is a more than convincing beginner. The driver from Oman, a GT specialist, took his first steps at the wheel of an LM P2 during the 4 Hours of Abu Dhabi with the 99 Racing team. This Saturday, February 18, he achieved pole position!
Called up to replace Gonçalo Gomes this weekend, Ahmad Al Harthy thus allows the former pilot to Formula 1 Nikita mazepin and to the former winner of 24 Hours of Le Mans Neel Jani to start at the head of the race scheduled for noon French time.
Championship leaders James Allen and John Falb (Algarve Pro Racing) will start from fifth place. In LM P3, Rinaldi Racing continues with a third pole in a row thanks to Torsten Kratz.
In GT, Jules Gounon's teammate, Liam Talbot (Mercedes) took pole for Hub Auto Racing.
