4H of Abu Dhabi – EL1: United Autosports ahead of 99 Racing

The Asian Le Mans Series ends this weekend with a final double header in Abu Dhabi. On the Yas Marina track, it was Phil Hanson and Neel Jani who stood out during Free Practice 1. The Briton completed his best lap in 1:42.821 in the No. 22 United Autosports car. He beat the Swiss, teammate of Nikita mazepin and Ahmad Al Harthy at 99 Racing, by 0.116 seconds. Young Dane Malthe Jakobsen took third place, 0.243 seconds behind for COOL Racing.

COOL Racing distinguished itself in LM P3 by setting the best time in this category in 1:47.986. The French Graff Racing team took second place at 1.210 seconds with the #9, ahead of the #5 DKR Engineering at 1.437 seconds. Ligier thus signs a double in this first session of the weekend.

On the GT side, it’s a Mercedes-AMG GT3 which dominated its rivals with the No. 7 from the Haupt Racing Team in 1:53.429.
