The LMP2 adventure in Asian Le Mans Series could not have started better for COOL Racing. Although these are still only free practice sessions, the Swiss team had a perfect day at the Dubai Autodrome.

After dominating EL1 this Friday, the team of Nicolas lapierre did it again during the second official outing of the day. In a session contested in cooler conditions due to the sunset, the Oreca 07 No. 37 once again topped the timesheet. And as you don't change a winning team, it was Malthe Jakobsen who once again set the best time. Slight difference, the Dane did not beat his previous mark of 1'48"013 since he achieved his best lap in 1'48"232.

Although he did not improve his time, Malthe Jakobsen nevertheless pushed his competitors back even further. After almost 9 tenths of FP1, Nicolas Lapierre's teammate finished the session 1 seconds ahead of the No. 295 Oreca 07 of 98 Racing, a car he had already beaten earlier in the day. At 99e rank, it is the No. 23 of United Autosports (+ 1“410) which took the place of the No. 24 of Nielsen Racing.

In LMP3, COOL Racing was unable to continue its momentum since the DKR Engineering (Duqueine M30 – D08 No. 5) passed second. Sixth in EL1, the Dutch team finished this Friday with the best time in EL2 with a lap of 1'54"677 from Valentino Catalano.

In GT, GetSpeed imitated COOL Racing in LMP2. Already at the forefront after the first test session, the Mercedes-AMG GT3 No. 10 did not leave the top of the ranking during EL2. It was Raffaele Marciello who once again distinguished himself with a performance in 1'58"105 to push back theAston Martin Vantage AMR GT3 No. 66 of Valentin Hasse-Clot (Bullit Racing) just over 2 tenths behind. Without a single lap to his credit during FP1, Jules Gounon (Hub Auto Racing) was finally able to take to the track. But it was his teammate Liam Talbot who set the best lap in the No. 3 Mercedes-AMG GT72 in 1'58"908, finishing 4e rank of the category.
