Josh Pierson: “Can’t wait to get started with United Autosports”

How are you feeling heading into your first race with United Autosports?

I'm really looking forward to getting started with United Autosports. I think it will be a great chance to have the whole team here, except obviously Alex (Lynn) and Oliver (Jarvis). But it will be a good opportunity for me to get in touch with the engineers and the mechanics, to get to know everyone a little better because I've only been testing with them at the moment. This weekend will be our first time competing together. So I think it's going to be a great first weekend here.

You will be associated with Paul di Resta this weekend, a very experienced driver. Do you think you will learn a lot from him?

Indeed, Paul is a pilot with a lot of experience. He's already given me some advice and we're not even on the track yet. It will be interesting to see what he will say about the car after driving, but also to hear the opinion he will have on my driving as well.

The Asian Le Mans Series is good preparation for the rest of your season and more particularly the WEC ?

The Asian is indeed an excellent preparation for me, especially because we have the opportunity to introduce me to races here. We rode in tests, but that does not replace competition.

You will participate in the 24 Hours of Le Mans this year. What does this mean to you?

Le Mans has such a great history, I'm really looking forward to it this year. It's a very different track to what I'm used to, with long straights and an extremely long lap. You'll have to be patient and relaxed, but I'm really looking forward to the 24 Hours. This will be extraordinary for me.
