ELMS – Rebellion enters an Oreca 07 in 2018

Rebellion Racing will not be idle in 2018. In addition to the return to the LM P1 (non-hybrid) category with two R 13s designed by Oreca in the World Championship,Endurance (WEC), the Swiss team will also be represented in European Le Mans Series (ELMS). An Oreca 07 will be entered, the operation of the prototype being entrusted to the PortugueseAlgarve ProRacing.

Revelation of the 24 2017 Hours of Le Mans (second in the general classification with Jackie Chan DC Racing and winner in LM P2), Thomas laurent will share his seat with the Briton Harrison Newey. The two young men have already rubbed shoulders this winter in the Asian Le Mans Series (Asian LMS) with success since they won the title. The third driver will be revealed soon.

This double commitment was a desire on the part of Thomas Laurent. “I absolutely needed to race in addition to the WEC because there are only 5 races in 2018 and I have to drive as much as possible to increase my level, explains the pilot from La Roche-sur-Yon (Vendée). I am very happy that Rebellion is supporting me on this project! I see it as a kind of confidence and I really appreciate that. With Harrison Newey, we are more than motivated to go for a title at the end of the season! »
