ELMS – United Autosports in Michelin Le Mans Cup

United Autosports will diversify its program this season. The American team will field a Ligier JS P3 in Michelin Le Mans Cup which will open this year to LMP3s in addition to GT3s. Shaun Lynn and Richard Meins will defend the interests of the structure after competing together at the 12 Hours of Abu Dhabi in December 2016.

“It makes sense for the team to enter the Michelin Le Mans Cup, commented Richard Dean, the owner of United Autosports. Richard and Shaun have expressed their interest in European racing and this is the perfect series for them. They both spent time behind the wheel of the Ligier JS P3 after their race in Abu Dhabi and we plan to carry out testing before the start of the season so that they are well prepared. »

United Autosports will also enter two Ligier JS P3s in the LMP3 category of theELMS with John Falb and Mark Patterson as the first confirmed drivers on the two cars, as well as a Ligier JS P217 in the first category of the ELMS and at the 24 Hours of Le Mans (June 17 and 18) with William Owen and Hugo de Sadeleer.
