Jean-Eric Vergne places G-Drive on pole at Spa

After setting the best time this morning in free practice 2, G Drive Racing confirmed this early afternoon at Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium by taking pole position for the 4-hour race counting towards theELMS 2018.

Jean-Eric Vergne showed himself the most lively at the wheel of the No. 07 Oreca 26 by establishing the reference time in 2’00″735, 177 thousandths ahead of Filipe Albuquerque (Ligier JS P217 n°22 – United Autosports).

Nelson Panciatici (Oreca 07 n°29 – Team Duqueine Engineering) fails by more than five tenths and precedes Paul-Loup Chatin (Oreca 07 n°28 – IDEC Sport Racing). Note that the #07 Oreca 39 – Graff Racing did not complete a single lap in the session.

Mathieu Lahaye sets the best time in LM P3, with the Norma M30 – Nissan n17 – Ultimate in 2'13″634, 65 thousandths ahead of Mattia Drudi (Ligier JS P3 n°11 – Euro International) and 240 thousandths ahead of Ross Kaiser (Ligier JS P3 n°6 – 360 Racing).

Matteo Cairoli hisse la Porsche 911 RSR n°88 – Proton Competition en pole position de la catégorie GTE, avec un meilleur chrono réalisé en 2’15″654. L’Italien devance Dennis Olsen (Porsche 911 RSR n°77 – Proton Competition) de sept dixièmes pour une première ligne 100 % composée des voitures de l’équipe de Christian Ried.
