Nicolas Prost: “Our goal is the title”

The Rebellion Racing team hoisted its Lola-Toyota 7th in the 12 Hours of Sebring. A very encouraging result for the Swiss team which intends to play for the title this year in Le Mans Series and do well in the Intercontinental Le Mans Cup (ILMC).

The brand new partnership with Toyota is likely to make Nicolas smile Cheers. “For the moment the contract is for two years, He explains. We benefit from support worthy of a factory team and the people at Toyota are investing enormously in making the engine progress. It is light, rigid and significantly improves the balance of the car. In the Le Mans Series, Rebellion Racing's objective is the title. And in ILMC, playing to win at mid-season. »

In addition to a competitive engine, Rebellion Racing has entered two big names in endurance: the experienced Jean-Christophe Bouillon and the winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2003 Guy Smith. “Jean-Christophe first of all gave us a good reference because we had a lot of young drivers in the team, notes Nicolas Prost. Then, he brought all his experience of this type of racing, which is beneficial for the team. As for Guy, he knows the Lola well since he drives it in the United States. He was able to compare our car with the Dyson Racing car and tell us what he thought was good and what he didn't think was good. »
