Racing Team Turkey won the 4 Hours of Barcelona, opening round of the season ELMS 2023, ahead of Duqueine Team and AF Corse.
After a black and orange flag for Racing Team Turkey due to damage to the car, Delétraz stopped 25 minutes from the end and came out 2nd behind Jani after an express change at the rear of the prototype.
Louis Delétraz quickly closes the gap with his compatriot and easily passes him with 15 minutes to go to race towards victory at the 4 Hours of Barcelona. Racing Team Turkey also wins the LM P2 Pro-Am category.
This is the first victory for an LM P2 Pro-Am team in the general classification, as well as the first victory for a Turkish team in ELMS. As for Louis Delétraz, it is a new victory with a third different team after WRT and Prema.
The ranking could, however, change after the race, as the rear headlights of Racing Team Turkey's Oreca were not on after the last stop. Duqueine could therefore recover victory on the green carpet.
With a damaged car, José Maria Lopez was unable to maintain the last place on the podium for COOL Racing. AF Corse took third place with François Perrodo, Matthieu Vaxiviere and Ben Barnicoat.
Racing Spirit of Léman wins the LM P3 category with Jacques Wolff, Antoine Doquin and Fabien Michal
In LMGTE Am, it’s the Porsche n°16 of Proton Competition which won with Ryan Hardwick, Zacharie Robichon and Alessio Picariello.
