SMP Racing will debut in ELMS in Austria after the 24 Hours of Le Mans

Present on the list of entrants selected to compete in the 2017 edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans (June 17-18), the Dallara LM P2 lined up under the SMP Racing banner will indeed be at the start of the Sarthe double-clock, as confirmed by the Russian structure.

Beyond participation in the big meeting at Le Mans, SMP Racing will debut its LM P2 on the racing scene.ELMS on the occasion of the third meeting of the season, on the Red Bull Ring in Austria (July 23).

The crew, which will be announced later, will be made up of two young drivers from the SMP Racing program, supported by a more experienced driver.

“The main goal of our program is to encourage young Russian pilots, explains Boris Rotenberg, founder and president of SMP Racing.

We want our drivers to participate in all important races including those of the European Le Mans Series. I am sure they will do their best to achieve the results we expect.

This season in ELMS and our participation in the 24 Hours of Le Mans will therefore allow us to gather important information for our future car. »

Horizon 2018 and LM P1

SMP Racing's collaboration with Dallara takes place within a broader framework with the objective of 2018 and the LM P1 category.
