Stéphane Sarrazin: “A dream car”

It is one of the cornerstones of the 908 HDi FAP program. Present since the very beginning of the adventure, Stéphane Sarrazin no longer counts the kilometers traveled at the wheel of this car. On board, the Frenchman will have won two LMS championship titles (2007 and 2010), twice the Petit Le Mans (2009 and 2010), and will have taken pole position three times. 24 Hours of Le Mans (from 2007 to 2009). Alas, he never managed to win in Sarthe, finishing second twice in 2007 and 2009.

But this weekend, in Zhuhai, the Lioness will bow out, and will make way for the ?90X? (see here). It is therefore not without a certain emotion that Stéphane Sarrazin will start the final round of the 2010 Intercontinental Le Mans Cup, aboard a car that he considers to be THE benchmark in the field.

“I am one of the drivers present since the origin of the 908 HDi FAP, explains the native of Alès, who is celebrating his 36th birthday today. It was different every year thanks to the incredible work of the team and gave me strong emotions. It's a dream car, certainly the best endurance car in the world and in any case it will have really marked my racing career. I would therefore like to impose myself behind the wheel one last time! ".

To help him, the former official Subaru driver in WRC will be able to count on the help of his faithful sidekick Franck Montagny, more motivated than ever to obtain the same result as at Road Atlanta, namely: Victory.
