United Autosports was forced to withdraw an LMP2 at Monza following the positive case of its driver Job van Uitert with COVID-19.

United Autosports withdraws one of its LMP2s from Monza

Just before the qualifying session, United Autosports announced the bad news: Job van Uitert tested positive for COVID-19. As a result, his team must withdraw from the Italian round. The Oreca 07 #32 will therefore not participate in the fifth round of the 2021 season.ELMS.

The British team announced via Twitter that Job van Uitert's teammates, namely Nico Jamin and Manu Maldonado, have tested negative. They will stay at the hotel but are “in good health”.

There will therefore only be 19 cars at the start of the 4 Hours of Monza tomorrow.
