WEC – Panciatici: “All the points will be worth taking”

Pierre Ragues and Nelson Panciatici offered Signatech-Alpine his first victory of the season by winning the 3 Hours of the Hungaroring after reaching the podium twice. Taking advantage of the poor performance of TDS Racing which saw its Oreca 03 caught in a collision at the start of the race with an FLM09, Alpine shares the lead in the Championship with the other French team before competing in the final this weekend at Le Castellet. The pressure is increasing for the crew of the No. 36 who can end the season in style at a time when the future of the team remains unknown for next year.

Nelson Panciatici intends to use his experience on the Paul Ricard circuit to offer the best possible result to his team. " L?Alpine A450 has the means to play for victory, that's a certainty but all the points will be worth taking, including that of pole position because that could well make the difference when it comes time to do the math! I have confidence because the entire Signatech team-Alpine is motivated to succeed and she has worked hard for it. With Pierre Ragues, my teammate, we have shown on several occasions that we are efficient and capable of achieving great races. In addition, I know Le Castellet well, I like its route but I still went to the ellip6 simulator to get my bearings. We achieved the best time during winter testing, our Michelin tires were very efficient and in perfect agreement with our car! »

If the pressure of the end of the season is felt, the team's professional driver concentrates on the victory which would be an assurance of coronation for his team. L'Alpine will have to secure the forefront since the Oreca 03 of Pierre Thiriet and Mathias Beche shares the lead in the Championship. “Personally I will approach this race without focusing on the title but, as usual, with the objective of winning, plus Le Castellet is my home, there will always be time to review our strategy because the main thing will be to get ahead of our opponents vying for the title! Pilot for Alpine is a pride that brings us all that little extra that will tip the scales in the right direction! »
