9 Hours of Kyalami, Divide and Conquer

If, in 2020, the Kyalami race was marked by bad weather conditions, in 2022, it was the Kyalami 9 Hours Superpole which fell victim to the whims of Mother Nature. Faced with storms above the South African route, the race management took no risks and decided to simply cancel the last qualifying session.

Faced with the cancellation of the Superpole, the results of the prequalification were taken into account. The situation affected the affairs of the Mercedes-AMG GT3 n°89 from AKKA-ASP of Jules Gounon, Raffaele Marciello and Timur Boguslavskiy, the fastest car in this session thanks to a time of 1'42"465 from the Frenchman. On the line, he was ahead of the Ferrari 488 GT3 n°71 (Nicklas Nielsen, Antonio Fuoco, Alessio Rovera) and n°51 (Alessandro Pier Guidi, Côme Ledogar, Miguel Molina) of AF Corse by four and six tenths
