As in certain editions of the Indianapolis 500 and during the recent Australian Grand Prix, race 1 of the Lamera Cup, 4 hours long this Saturday at Nogaro, ended at a slow trot, under the regime of the safety car. The cause was a trip off the road 8 minutes from the end.

Too bad: the followers were deprived of the last minutes of the race which were by definition thrilling. Twenty minutes before the checkered flag, Pierre Couasnon, driving the No. 62 of Team Almera, took the lead of the race ahead of the No. 73 (L'Auto Leclerc) driven by Benoit Gruau.

The latter, forced to run at a senatorial pace like all his rivals, was unable to respond to the new leader whose team is carrying out an excellent operation in the championship.

The L'Auto Leclerc crew climbs onto the 2nd step of the podium with a lap ahead of the 29th CTF Delta Chandioux with Paul Levet at the controls at the checkered flag.

As for the No. 80 (Continental Racing), in the lead for almost the first 60 minutes before being the victim of a road trip, it moved up from 12th to 4th place, winning the category in the process. Pro/Am.

Finally, it was Fast Kukki Racing's No. 50 Lamera, 15th in the general classification, which won among the gentlemen.
