Anton Alen still believes in it

Arrested during Rally Automobile Monte-Carlo with a clutch problem and guilty of two errors in Brazil including an elimination rollover, Anton Alen is already thirteen points behind Freddy Loix, championship leader after two events.

But the Abarth driver is convinced of being able to reverse the trend at the next event which will take place in Portugal on May 7.

“I had really good feelings with the Abarth Grande Punto Super 2000 before having problems,” explains Markku?s son. “I am obviously disappointed not to have finished the rally but I am reassured by our performance. »

In the Azores, Anton Alen will start behind the championship leaders on the first day, an advantage that he intends to exploit: “I would have a good starting position, a bit like Juho Hänninen with the official Skoda which will be very competitive on this test. This will be an asset in our game. The experience of my co-driver Timo Alanne, who has already participated in this rally, will also help me. »
