Scotland: Meeke well placed

Kris Meeke (Peugeot 207 S2000), already well placed at the start of the day, seems to have done the hardest part in the three stages of the morning. SS10, the third special stage of the day before arriving at Parc Fermé, saw the domination of a driver decidedly come to fruition. Throughout the 33 kilometers of the first pass in the Loch Ard special, the 2009 IRC champion was able to negotiate the passages in the forest as well as possible to open up a gap of more than eight seconds on Guy Wilks (Skoda Fabia S2000).

« It?s absolutely fantastic, declared Meeke at the finish of SS10. Of all the rallies I have competed in in the world, this special stage was the best. The crests and everything else made me enjoy driving as much as possible and we managed to take eight seconds from Guy so that's all good. »

Kris Meeke is now 28 seconds ahead of Guy Wilks, with the second loop of three stages remaining. If nothing is won, the driver of the Peugeot from the Kronos team seems to have done the hardest part and has, once again, made an impression.
