Kopecky triumphs at home

Leader from start to finish with the exception of the first Super Special contested on Friday evening, Jan Kopecky perfectly fulfilled his objective which was to win at home and take points back from the leader of the general classification. Three times second since the start of the season, the Czech managed to put his Fabia S2000 on the top step of the podium and take the 10 points that go with it.

Second, Kris Meeke made a good comeback throughout these two days of racing. Setting only the 33rd time in the Super Special, the Briton gradually moved up to third place at the end of the first day. The abandonment of Freddy Loix during the opening special of the last day made Meeke's task easier, who therefore limited the damage, yielding only two points to Kopecky in the title race. He still has three points ahead of his opponent (42 against 39) with three rallies remaining in the season.

The event, however, was not kind to the team. Peugeot Kronos. After Nicolas Vouilloz abandoned the first day, it was Freddy Loix who had to put an end to his rally Sunday after puncturing and damaging his 207 S2000.

Juho Hanninen took a good third place which allowed Skoda to score big points in the Manufacturers' championship and consolidate its second place behind Peugeot. Finally, Martin Prokop (Peugeot), the recent junior world champion, finished in fifth place.
