Fafe Montelongo rally comes to ERC

THEERC welcomes a new kid into their big family. Usual stage of the Portuguese championship, the Rally asphalt of Fafe Montelongo comes to the ERC for the first time.

Theater of the third round of the European Championship, it will take place between October 2 and 4, around the town located in the north of the country, 15 kilometers from Guimaraes.

The inclusion of Fafe in the season calendar replaces the Azores Rallies, canceled a few weeks ago. “ The organizers have worked hard to put all the measures in place” comments Jean-Baptiste Leu, the coordinator of the ERC. “The agreement is valid for one year but all parties are open to expanding their partnership for future years. »

The rally has in fact been aiming for the European level for a long time and almost obtained it in 2019, then pushed this year to integrate the shortened calendar due to Covid-19. He now has the opportunity to settle into the ERC family.
