Marijan Griebel joins forces with Saintéloc Racing

Marijan Griebel continues its progress withinu European Rally Championship ERC, by committing to 2020 with the reigning champion structure Saintéloc Racing.

The German, who has already distinguished himself in the Junior classifications in 2016 and 2017 (winner in ERC3 and ERC1), will this time aim for the leading roles in the general classification, with five rounds currently on the program, all contested in a Citroën C3 R5.

In addition to the Canaries and the Azores, three other events will be announced in the coming weeks. Others could complete Griebel's menu depending on the budgets available for the 30-year-old pilot, a civilian police officer.

“Saintéloc has huge experience in the ERC, having worked with drivers like Craig Breen and Alexey Lukyanuk in the past, and I am confident that they will give me a fast car, believes Griebel, who will be co-driven by Stefan Kopczyk for the first two rallies before Pirmin Winklhofer then moves on.

Unlike my program last year, I will have practice sessions before each round and I will be much better prepared than in 2019.”

Griebel's best ERC result in 2019 was fifth place on the Barum Rally in the Czech Republic on asphalt.
