Monte-Carlo: Delecour overmotivated

The legends of Rally French are back! After the participation of Gilles Panizzi in the recent Rally Sanremo, it is Didier Auriol and François Delecour who plan to take the start of the next Rallye Monte-Carlo, for the hundredth edition of the event. François Delecour has almost finalized his commitment. At 48, he should start the first round of the 2011 IRC at the wheel of a Peugeot 207 S2000.

« When I saw the route and realized that this rally was in its hundredth edition, I realized that I had to take part, confides the northern pilot. We still have to find part of the budget. A large part of the budget will be devoted to tires because I need as much choice as possible to give myself the best chance. »

François Delecour therefore wants to aim for victory against the regular IRC drivers. “ I still have a great hunger for success, I am in great physical shape and I know stages such as Le Moulinon and Burzet better than anyone on this rally. » The Frenchman's opponents are therefore warned, six weeks before the legendary rally.
