Nikolay Gryazin wins Rally Latvia

Nikolay Gryazin dominated the Rally of Latvia by winning with a lead of 43 seconds over Chris Ingram at the end of the 12 special stages of the last event of the season ERC. The national rider secured the title in the Under 28 category (being 21 years old) and he will have the opportunity to ride on a WRC of the 2016 season on a European round of the WRC or to have a reward of €100 covering two rounds of the ERC in an R000.

“Our objective was not to attack but to finish and I can now sleep peacefully, welcomed the Sports racing Technology driver. I don't tend to show my emotions, but I'm really happy. We have made a lot of progress this year by having a good strategy and good preparation for each event. I can now take advantage of my rounds offered in ERC by Eurosport. »

Fredrik Ahlin completed the podium less than 6 seconds behind the Briton, but the Swede won against Fabian Kreim who lost his 3rd place in the last special for 8 seconds behind. Lukasz Habaj and Filip Mares completed the Top 5 of the event where the Top 8 is monopolized by the Skoda Fabia R5.

Laurent Pellier (Peugeot 208 T16 R5) retired at the end of the 6th special following an engine problem while he was in 8th position.

Tom Kristensson (Opel Adam R2) won in 2WD with 20 seconds ahead of his teammate Martins Seeks, the two residents of the Opel Rallye Junior Team having completed the Top 10 in the general classification.
