Solberg will play for victory at Monte Carlo

While Petter Solberg still does not know if he will be at the start of the 2011 season of WRC, the Norwegian is preparing to compete in the Rally Monte Carlo, the first event of the IRC Championship. Although he knows the course well, he is not yet used to the driving and behavior of an S2000 rally car.

“It is certain that there will be drivers at the start of the event who will have more experience than me with the Super 2000 cars,” admits Petter Solberg without restraint. “However, I know this rally well and I know what can go wrong. So I will be well prepared. As with any other rally, I will be on the attack to aim for victory and I will have a very specific strategy to achieve my objective. »

Nevertheless, the Monte Carlo Rally has not always smiled on Petter Solberg, but the Norwegian is keen to maintain his optimism less than three weeks before the start of the event. “I really like this rally even if I haven't always had the best result. This rally will be really very special, given that it will be its centenary. »
