4 Hours of Abu Dhabi – Qualifying: Double pole position for United Autosports

Unsurprisingly with its dominance displayed since the start of the weekend, United Autosports took the two pole positions of the weekend in Abu Dhabi, double headers Asian season finale Le Mans Series, worn by Paul di Resta. The Briton completed a 1:39.804 lap in opening qualifying, edging Ben Hanley for Nielsen Racing by 0.626, the former Formula 1 being the only one to go below minute forty. Di Resta repeated this performance by achieving a 1:39.962 in the second session, once again ahead of Nielsen Racing. David Droux took third place for Graff Racing, first in LM P2 Pro-Am. On the LM P3 side, Laurents Hörr also signed two new pole positions for DKR Engineering, signing a flawless performance in this exercise during this ALMS season.

In GT, qualifying for race 3 saw theAston Martin TF Sport's Vantage AMR GT3 took pole position thanks to Jonathan Adam, already pole-sitter in Dubai. He anticipated the Porsche 911 GT3 R n°33 from the Herberth Motorsport team driven by Klaus Bachler, not disturbed by the car's withdrawal from Free Practice 2. Mikaël Grenier allowed SPS automotive performance to take third place, further consolidating the position as leader of his team in the GT Am championship after the two victories in Dubai. Jonathan Adam and Aston Martin even narrowly missed the double position, only beaten in the second heat by Klaus Bachler.
