4 Hours of Dubai – H1: Nielsen Racing at fault but in the lead

Dominant during practice and qualifying, the British team Nielsen Racing did not enjoy pole position for long. Rodrigo Sales made a mistake in the last corner of the circuit after only six minutes of racing. This benefited Éric Trouillet, new leader for Graff Racing, but Matt Bell's pace allowed Nielsen Racing to regain control shortly before race time. High Class Racing occupies third place in the LM P2 category, while ARC Bratislava fell in the general classification after being forced to stop between turns 9 and 10 after 40 minutes of racing.

Starting in tenth and last position in the LM P3 after making a mistake in qualifying, Colin Noble moved back to the top of the category with his Nielsen Racing Ligier JS P320-Nissan, overtaking Frenchman Mathieu de Barbuat, who started in pole position with DKR Engineering. The British team's second car nevertheless had to return to its box due to a mechanical problem, leaving the lead in the category to the Luxembourg team. In GT, Rino Mastronardi leads the way for Rinaldi Racing ahead of the McLaren n°88 of Garage 59 and AF Corse n°17.
