4H of Abu Dhabi, H+1 – Red flag, United Autosports in the lead

The launch of the 4 Hours of Abu Dhabi 2023, the penultimate round of the Asian Le Mans Series, was stormy this Saturday, February 18. Several clashes punctuated the first lap, particularly on the GT side:

Already involved in a collision, the Ferrari 488 GTE from the Formula Racing team was involved in a big accident on the start-finish straight when LM P2s overtook him. The Dane Johnny Laursen emerged from the car unscathed but the damaged rails required the intervention of employees of the Yas Marina circuit. The race is therefore interrupted at the red flag.

The event is led after an hour by the Oreca of Yasser Shahin, Garnet Patterson and Oliver Jarvis. Charles Crews (Inter Europol) is second, followed by championship leader John Falb (Algarve Pro Racing).

En GT, Mikkel Jensen (Ferrari de Car Guy) mène devant Alfred Renauer (Porsche de Herberth Motorsport) et Liam Talbot (Mercedes of Hub Auto Racing).
