The first free practice session of the 4 Hours of Le Castellet, opening round of the European Le Mans Series, was dominated by the No. 07 Oreca 21 from DragonSpeed. Author of a lap in 1'41"227, the trio James Allen-Ben Hanley-Henrik Hedman was 0"858 ahead of the No. 07 Oreca 43 of RLR MSport entrusted to John Farano-Bruno Senna-Arjun Maini and the Aurus 01 n°26 from G-Drive Racing at the wheel of which Norman Nato, Job van Uitert and Roman Rusinov take turns.

The top quint is completed by two others by Nicolas lapierre-Antonin Borga-Alexandre Coigny (Cool Racing) and Anders Fjordbach-Dennis Andersen (High Class Racing). In the end, Oreca monopolizes the top six in the LM P2 category.

 

In LM P3, the Norman M30 n°10 of the Oregon Team (Damiano Fioravanti-Gustas Grinbergas-Lorenzo Bontempelli) rose to the top of the timesheet ahead of three other Normas, respectively entrusted to RealTeam Racing (Esteban Garcia-David Droux ), M Racing (Laurent Millara-Lucas Légeret-Yann Ehrlacher) and Ultimate (Jean Baptise Lahaye, Mathieu Lahaye, François Hériau).

 

Enfin, en GTE, le temps de référence est à mettre au crédit de la Porsche 911 RSR n°77 de Christian Ried-Riccardo Pera-Matteo Cairoli, qui a devancé la voiture sœur confiée à Thomas Preining-Marco Seefried-Horst Felbermayr Sr et la 911 RSR n°56 de Project1 emmenée par Giorgio Roda, Jörg Bergmeister-Egidio Perfetti.
