Nicolas lapierre took Dragonspeed's Oreca 05 into the lead at the end of the second test session of theELMS in Estoril (Portugal). The Frenchman set a time of 1'35''671, four seconds off the previous day's benchmark set by Mathias Beche on the Oreca 05 of Thiriet by TDS Racing. This drop in performance can be explained by the rainy conditions.
Giedo van der Garde came closest, trailing G-Drive Racing's Gibson 015S by almost seven tenths. Julien Canal followed by more than two seconds in the Greaves Motorsport Ligier JS P2 which preceded that of Krohn Racing driven by Olivier Pla. Mathias Beche was satisfied with the seventh time in the Oreca 05 of Thiriet by TDS Racing which even finished behind the No. 3 United Autosports JS P3 of Wayne Boyd.
Marco Cioci was responsible for establishing the best performance in GTE with a lap completed in 1'45''976 on the Ferrari 458 n°51 from AF Corse.
