Le Gulf Racing a annoncé avoir pris possession d’une nouvelle Porsche 911 991 RSR. Elle remplacera la 997 RSR, vue sur les trois premières manches de la saison et sera alignée sur les épreuves restantes au calendrier de l’European Le Mans 2014 Series, namely Paul Ricard (September 13 and 14) and the Estoril final in Portugal (October 18 – 19). Tests are planned in the coming weeks, for the one which will sport the No. 86, and which will be entrusted to driver-owner Mike Wainwright, Adam Carroll and Ben Barker.
