Ott Tänak (Ford Fiesta R5) is the first leader in Rally from Estonia after having signed the scratch in the first two specials. Timmu Korge (Fiesta R5) is the closest, 16 seconds behind following Martin Kangur's (Fiesta S2000) accident in SS2. Rainer Aus (Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IX) completes the top three, two seconds ahead of Alexey Lukyanuk (Lancer Evo X). Sepp Wiegand (Skoda Fabia S2000) occupies fifth place, tied with Karl Kruuda (Peugeot 208 T16 R5).
Esapekka Lappi (Skoda Fabia S2000) occupies eighth place, one second behind Roland Murakas (Lancer Evo X). Sébastien Chardonnet (Citroën DS3 R5) only occupies ninth position after missing a corner. Robert Consani (207 S2000) is only 17th, more than a minute from the head of the race.
