Jan Kopecky (Skoda) manages to keep pace with the leader of the Rally of the Canary Islands, failing by eight tenths. Luis Monzon (Mini) follows 4”6 behind while Craig Breen (Peugeot ) is 7”4 ahead of Jérémi Ancian’s 207 S2000. Germain Bonnefis (Renault) is 33 seconds behind the leader, ahead of his teammate Robert Consani by 2”4.
Robert Kubica has a 38”4 lead over Jan Kopecky at the end of the first loop. Craig Breen is in third place, five seconds behind the Czech. Luis Monzon remains fourth, one minute behind the leader, while Jérémi Ancian completes the top five, 20 seconds behind the Mini RRC. Andreas Aigner (Subaru) maintains a lead of 40 seconds over Robert Consani. Daniel Olivieira (Fiesta RRC) is eighth with 1” ahead of Germain Bonnefis.
