Kajetan Kajetanowicz (Ford Fiesta R5) had to retire on the final stage of day one at Rally Liepaja in Latvia after breaking a wheel while in second place. Craig Breen (Peugeot 208 T16 R5) returns to service with more than a minute ahead of Siim Plangi (Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X). Martins Svilis (Lancer Evo X) completes the new provisional podium, a few seconds ahead of Dominykas Butvilas (Subaru Impreza STI).
