Mads Ostberg (Ford Fiesta R5) is the first leader of the Rally from the Canary Islands (Spain) after having signed the scratch in the 24,7 km of Moya completed in 15'34"2. The Norwegian was ahead of Alexey Lykyanuk (Fiesta R5) by a tenth. Kajetan Kajetanowicz (Fiesta R5) follows about ten seconds ahead of Robert Consani (Peugeot 208 T16 R5) at 20 seconds. Antonin Tlustak (Skoda Fabia R5) lost more than eight minutes following transmission problems.
Le Norvégien a enfoncé le clou dans les 15 km de Tejeda même s’il a été battu de quatrièmes dixièmes par Kajetan Kajetanowicz. Alexey Lukyanuk accuse désormais plus de huit secondes de retard sur le pilote M-Sport et voit le Polonais revenir à moins de deux secondes. Robert Consani a glissé en cinquième position à cinq secondes d’Ivan Ares Roel (Fiesta R5).
