After validation of the anti-Covid-19 plan validated by regional health authorities, the organizers confirmed that the Rally of the Azores will indeed take place this year as part of the 2020 season of theERC.
« We are very happy with the decision of the regional health authorities because it means that the anti-Covid-19 plan presented was convincing », said Rui Moniz, director of Grupo Desportivo Comercial, the organizer of the Portuguese round.
The 2020 edition of the Azores Rally is scheduled for September 17 to 19 on the island of Sāo Miguel, the largest in the archipelago. Grupo Desportivo Comercial must now implement its anti-Covid-19 plan which provides for the screening of all those involved as well as compliance with the rules of social distancing.
