Russian Gryazin withdraws from Fafe Rally

Russian Nikolay Gryazin (Skoda) has announced his withdrawal from the opening of the 2022 season of the European Rally Championship (ERC). The 2018 ERC Junior champion – 28 years old should have contested the Rally de Face (Portugal, March 11-13) but the representative of Toksport WRT declined his participation for “personal reasons”.

The International Automobile Federation (FIA) asks drivers competing under a Russian or Belarusian license to sign a code of good conduct in order to continue driving in international championships. The Portuguese Automobile Federation (FPAK) for its part allows the arrival of Russian and Belarusian competitors.

Also included on the first entry list, the Russians Alexander Rzhevkin and Yuriy Kulikov (Skoda) also withdrew. Only one Russian remains up for the Fafe Rally, Dmitry Feofavov (Ford ERC3), thanks to a Latvian sports license.
